Lizka Creations, created out of FRIENDSHIP and LOVE.
My name is Katrina and my Best Friend is Elizabeth. We have been great friends, for over 27 yrs. We have been through some fabulous and rough times together. We have always stayed rock steady for one another. About eight years ago, a terrible storm hit our lives. Elizabeth, was diagnosed with breast cancer. Within two years of the breast cancer diagnosis, she was diagnosed with leukemia.
I was horrified! Elizabeth, on the other hand, faced these monsters head on. Looked them straight in the eyes and said, "Bring it on! Nothing is bigger than my God"! Elizabeth did have a couple of set backs after surgery, but never felt sorry for herself or looked back. During the time of her treatments and surgeries....I thought, "What will happen if Elizabeth can never work again?".
It just so happened, that the Christmas before this, I decided to make some jewelry for my family. You know, "Something from my heart". As each family member opened their hand made jewelry designs, they exclaimed their joy. I was astounded. I had never been a crafty person. They all proclaimed, "You could sell these designs. They are amazing"! This came back to me, during one of Elizabeth's hospital stays. I had an idea. I gathered up beads, bobbles and a business plan. Then, I headed to the hospital to see Elizabeth. We sat on her hospital bed, talking about business ideas and making jewelry.
LIZ = (Elizabeth) and Ka= (Katrina) This is how we came up with LIZKA CREATIONS.
I am happy to report, that Elizabeth is still doing great and cancer free. The Doctor's believe that her leukemia, is now in remission. Elizabeth is a great example of how Faith can overcome, evan the worst of situations. Through God's Grace, Elizabeth is a miracle! She continues to inspire many people and continues to encourage those around her.
Lizka Creations prides themselves in giving back.
10% of everything sold, is donated to Cleaning for a Reason and Ribbon Rider's. Two local, non profit cancer organizations.
Both of these organizations provide, needed services, for cancer patients and their families.
